PhD Dental Student won the first prize Postgraduate Research Competition – Basic Science Category

 

May 31, 2021 Dr. Chatvadee Kornsutthisopon, graduate student from Oral Biology PhD program won the first prize Postgraduate Research Competition from FDCU International Symposium 2021 on May 24, 2021. Her research entitled “Notch-Wnt Signaling Crosstalk in Modulation of Odonto/Osteogenic Differentiation in hDPs”. The research was performed under Professor Thanaphum Osathanon supervision. 

Dent Chula Faculty Member  won President’s Award Tohoku University

March 31, 2020 Dr. Phoonsuk Limraksasin, faculty member from Department of Anatomy, won the President’s Award for the Outstanding PhD recipient of Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry in 2020 (the best PhD researcher of the year). During her Ph.D., she had three publications in the international journals and received academic awards as follows.

  • First Place Winner, 2020 IADR Arthur R. Frechette Award

          Mar 20. 2020, International Association for Dental Research

  • Winner, 2019 JADR/GC Young Investigator Award

          Nov 30. 2019, Japanese Association for Dental Research

Dent Chula Faculty Member’s Research has been selected as “Editor’s Picks” in Journal of Biological Chemistry

January 25, 2021 Associate Professor Dr. Jeerus Sucharitakul regularly publishes his works in Journal of Biological Chemistry which is in Tier 1 in Biochemistry. The Journal has been published the excellent research articles in biological chemistry since 1905.

The research article entitle “Rapid kinetics reveal surprising flavin chemistry in the bifurcation electron transfer flavoprotein from Acidaminococcus fermentans”  has been selected as one of Journal of Biological Chemistry “Editor’s Pick”, meaning that referees, associated editors and Editors’ Pick committee viewed this work as providing an exceptional contribution to the field. Congratulations !!

Undergraduate Students from Chulalongkorn University won SEAADE Innovation Award 2020

November 27, 2020 Mr.Naraiy Mekkapruet, Mr.Kritchaya Thaweechumpol and Mr.Jirayutt Banyam won SEAADE Innovation Award – “Simulation”. Project title was “Practice on MOOG Simodont® dental simulator improve psychomotor skills for dental students”.  This project was supervised by Assistant Professor AnjaleeVacharaksa, Department of Microbiology.

Students from Chulalongkorn University won IADR Unilever Hatton Award – JUNIOR Category, IADR-SEA 2020

November 27, 2020 Miss Benjaporn Manosuttikij,  Miss Chanisara Putta, and Miss Natchanan Panjasiri won the first place award from project entitled “Periostin Promoted PDL Cell Migration and Myofibroblast Differentiation”. The project was supervised by Professor Prasit Pavasant, Department of Anatomy. The winner will compete in IADR General Session 2021 at Boston.

Miss Matcha Navankasattusas, Mr. Naruepong Yiamwattana, Miss Metavi, Phuckdeedindan worked on the project entitled “Remineralizing Agents Differentially Affect Amelogenesis Imperfecta Enamel Microhardness”. The project was supervised by Associate Professor Thantrira Porntaveetus, Department of Physiology

Undergraduate Student Research Project Won the Award from the 7th China-ASEAN Forum on Dentistry, Nanning, China.

November 25, 2020 Mr. Jedtanut Thussananutiyakul, Mr. Pholthanik Lertchawalitanon, and Mr. Piboon Rungtanakiat presented a research project entitled “Comparing Clinical Outcomes Between using Chlorhexidine with and without Brushing” at the 4th China-ASEAN Excellent Young Dental Student Forum. The projects won the Third Prize. Participants were from China, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

This project was supervised by Assistant Professor Sirikarn Arunyanak from Department of Periodontology and co-advised by Associate Professor Dr. Sireerat Sooampon from Department of Pharmacology.

Postdoctoral Researcher won poster presentation award at the 8th Annual Meeting of the Society for Stem Cell Research

October 28, 2020 Congratulation to Dr. Ajjima Chansaenroj, Postdoctoral Researcher under C2F Fellowship from CUDENT Bioprint 3D lab, STAR Exocrine Biology and Regeneration Research. Dr. Ajjima won poster presentation award for the project entitled “Magnetic three-dimensional bioprinting platforms towards epithelial regeneration of salivary gland-like organoids and their exosomes” at the 8th Annual Meeting of the Society for Stem Cell Research held by Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. This project was conducted under Assistant Professor Dr. Joao Ferreira supervision.
