Dent Chula Faculty Members Contributed to Publications Related to COVID19 Impact on Oral Health Policies and Dental Education

Associate Professor Prim Auychai, Dr. Porawit Kamnoedboon, Associate Professor Oranart Matangkasombut, and Assistant Professor Suchit Poolthong were contributed in review article “Changes in Oral Health Policies and Guidelines During the COVID-19 Pandemic” published in Frontiers in Oral Health. This article described the changes in guidelines and policies in response to COVID-19 pandemic in different countries around the world. Despite the different circumstance of pandemic in those countries. The common policies implications among those countries were described including strict social distancing, disinfection of used instruments, equipment and workspace, strict infection control measures, early screening, and identification of possible cases, postponing non-emergency treatment, and improving ventilation system. Another publication discussed the challenges for dental education during COVID-19 pandemic. The article was published in Journal of Oral Science. Assistant Professor Supachai Chuenjitwongsa and Associate Professor Prim Auychai were co-authored in article entitled “Guidelines for innovation in dental education during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic”. In this article, the guidelines for classroom-based courses, simulated training courses, and clinical skills training courses published by the Association for Dental Education, Asia Pacific (ADEAP) were described and discussed.
